Re-post: “Why Indians have to be Re-Born!”

This is a post I discovered on my school friend’s (Vibhu’s blog) and I just couldn’t resist re-posting it here. It is hilarious and you are gonna love it!

===========
The angel Gabriel came to the Lord and said ‘I have to talk to you. We have some Indians up here in heaven and they are causing problems. They’re swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, they are wearing Dolce and Gabana saris instead of their white robes, they are riding Mercedes and BMW’s instead of the chariots, and they’re selling their halos to people for discounted prices. They refuse to keep the stairway to Heaven clear, since they keep crouching down midway eating samosas and drinking chai (tea).. Some of them are even walking around with just one wing!’

The Lord said, ‘Indians are Indians. Heaven is home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, give Satan a call.’

Satan answered the phone, ‘Hello? Damn, hold on a minute.’ Satan returned to the phone, ‘OK I’m back. What can I do for you?’

Gabriel replied, ‘I just wanted to know what kind of problems you’re having down there.’

Satan says, ‘Hold on again. I need to check on something.’

After about 5 minutes Satan returns to the phone and said, ‘I’m back. Now what was the question?’

Gabriel said, ‘What kind of problems are you having down there?’

Satan says, ‘Man I don’t believe this … Hold on.’

This time Satan was gone at least 15 minutes. He returned and said, “I’m sorry Gabriel, I can’t talk right now… These Indians are trying to install air conditioning and making hell a comfortable place to live in by putting out the fire…fire is there to keep them uncomfortably hot!! Since they are so tech savvy, they were trying to start a telephone connection between heaven and hell…I am having such a hard time controlling and dealing with them!! Some were trying to start a chai – pakora shop, which I had to stop…I am requesting Lord to send them back on earth as soon as they arrive as re-birth”.
Indians will be Indians…

So this is the story why Indians are re-born!!!!!!!

Got my attitude wear – my Karmic Tea Tee!

Recently, I had gone down to Siliguri with my tea company’s work. In between, I got some free time to spend and thought why not take a stroll traversing the confusing passages of “New Market”. As I was walking in that unbearably hot land of Siliguri, all sweating, I chanced upon a “T” that was just apt for me which would showcase my inner attitude to the world. Guess what? It’s a “tea” T with inscription “ABSOLUTE CHAI – The patent drink of every hot blooded Indian.” by Karmic Designs.

The Label also has a print which says “It’s a CITIZEN FRIENDLY Tee which can be gifted to thy friends and foes” – kewl!

Implementation – Darjeeling Tea sale opportunity – much asked for – Affiliates!

I have been receiving a lot of queries for a long time from ‘tea niche’ website owners wanting to sell our teas on their sites as affiliates and earn some cash for themselves. Well, I had told my webmaster to find a solution and it took us some time. He was looking for all those “self-hosted” applications and were referring to reviews on such softwares.

Finally got a simple solution, no softwares, no hosting, no nothing – on my own – I use 2CO for all the credit card processing matter and have stayed with them for a couple of years now and they have never disappointed me or my tea company. (Note aside – They have featured our tea company along with others on their site – here!). They have implemented a scheme for vendors where it becomes possible to offer affiliates an opportunity to sell vendor teas on their own site. The process is very simple, but you have to sign up in order to track all your incomes etc. – this is quite obvious and straight – you sell vendor teas as affiliates and you have to track it down too – where will you do if you don’t sign up!!!!

There will be no asking of link from you to link to our company site and you can sell your tea directly as if you are selling on your own, but you can push your sales by authenticating it – people believe when the product is authenticated. Write something about us if you want to and authenticate the product you are selling. There is no need to link to us. It was just a recommendation, its upto you to sell the way you want!

The process is very simple

  1. You sign up free with 2CO as an affiliate – Here!
  2. Second you enter the product name and description to your site which you can get it from our site at www.thunderbolttea.com
  3. Along with the name and description you now need the actual codes for the product with the help of which people will buy!

At the moment we are offering affiliate sales opportunity for our new arrivals namely First Flush Darjeeling Tea from 2009. These are fresh teas and you get 10% commission on each sale. These are products which sell like hot cakes! You decide.

Product codes for First Flush Darjeeling Teas 2009:

You may have noticed that each link has “id=XXXXXX”, the “x” refers to your affiliate id which you get it once you sign up for a free affiliates account with 2CO.

Payments:
Your commissions will automatically be deducted from our account with 2CO and credited to your 2CO affiliates account. 2CO does it all for us, so we won’t be cheating you :)

If you have difficulties getting the tea images or any problem, write to us at affiliates [@] thunderbolttea.com

HAPPY TEA SELLING!

Darjeeling First Flush Tea 2009 – updated

First FLush Darjeeling Tea 2009 Hello friends – finally our webmaster took a spin over his existing project that is Thunderbolt Tea’s site. The new arrivals had to be updated and since the site seems to be done in the old fashion way with manual html pages, it took quite sometime for him to give it a final note. He’s done a good job, nice graphics on front page (by the way the tea tea garden pic is taken by me:)), but somehow he made it look quite different with the additional addons destined to layout as a Spring theme.

Yes, the recent First Flush Darjeeling Teas (2009) have all been updated and some more First flushes are on their way, but will take sometime to arrive – though already tasted the samples and blocked it!

Benoy at Arya Tea Estate Darjeeling The hyper note of “severe drought conditions” could be seen everywhere specially highlighting the case of ‘First Flush Darjeeling Teas’, but the rains came just about the right time and we got our teas and is now for you to savor it! If the rains did delay then it would be defoliation rather than the new tender First Flush shoots and mass production would be at its minimum. Still, production was low and as a result there will be no ‘easy abundance’ of First Flush Darjeelings in the market. Quality is good as a true first flush should be and I am happy to have acquired the teas for our clients.

I have already tasted and it is ethereal – now its your turn. I won’t comment on any of the teas coz time is a constraint here, but one thing I can assure you is, taste anyone and you won’t regret. However, I would like to stress the fact that the best tea can taste the worst and this is because of your palate’s likes and dislikes. An astringent character is common in all which is the mark of a Darjeeling first flush tea, but this can be lowered by decreasing the steeping time. Steeping for 3 minutes gives you an ideal cup, but as said earlier, its your palate and you are the judge. Some like this pungency and others don’t. All are common with pleasant fruity and flowery notes and this is layered in a complex manner and sometimes difficult to associate the hidden characteristics and describe it in a layman’s words. Don’t take your tea “hot”, let it simmer for some secs and sip it to its glory. I personally feel that some cooling tones up the cup. However, if you like the aroma, its quite instant as soon as you are pouring the tea. Arya Tea Estate organic tea - Arya SFTGFOP1 China 2009

A NOTE ON THE TEA SHIPPING POLICY (updated)
If you had been buying teas from us then you must have noticed that we offered free shipping irrespective of the quantity you buy – Though we tried to maintain the preceding statement, good things don’t seem to last – the Postal Department raised the shipping cost by almost double and in fact some shippings destined to be delivered to our clients dug out the grave from our pockets. However, it was not our clients mistake, it was just the sudden change in the heightened charges levied by the Post Office.

A change was needed keeping the comforts of our clients and us too – after all I can’t do business at a loss – got a family to look after; staff, their families, their woes etc :) To chalk out this problem, we cracked our brains and devised a solution – The FREE SHIPPING is still on, its just that you have to do a minimum purchase of USD 49 or above. If your order totals up to the required amount you are eligible for free shipping anywhere – you just need to enter the COUPON code on checkout.

  • c) A total purchase of USD 150 and above: Will be sent by Expediated Service (one week)

First Flush Darjeeling Tea 2009 – the incoming!!

Pertaining to the so called lack of timely rain, a “ho-halla” (‘commotion’ in Nepali) spread the tea world and especially got whispered into the ears of chronic Darjeeling Tea Lovers. “Will we be able to procure our share of First Flush Darjeeling Tea from 2009?” Anyways, the buzz has thinned down and settled to the bottom and yes, 2009 First Flush Darjeeling Teas will be available but will be available in less quantity – the production is low. Some teas have already entered our premises like Arya SFTGFOP1, Arya SFTGFOP1  China, Puttabong SFTGFOP1, some whites etc. However these teas haven’t been updated to our site yet, just for info sake.

At Arya Tea Estate – me getting the feel of the tender shoots – if you have noticed – the tea bush I am extending to is covered with the tender first flush shoots and surrounding is bare, meaning the rains did affect the tea growth but it did grow – just that it will be less in production sufficing with the amount of tea leaves got during the production time

I had heard from several tea experts that the quality may have a drift, but after tasting and acquiring these teas, I give them a “no,no nod” to their forethoughts. Teas are excellent and no sign of loss characteristics can be seen when talking about Darjeeling First Flush.

OUR THUNDERBOLT TEA INSIDERS

“Kalyan” one among others – he is our expert tea packer and trains other recruits – the packing and handling cost we charge you goes to these people:)

Apart from our bulk tea storage, this is a glimpse of our ever confusing “packed teas” retail room – only the guys responsible know where the exact teas are kept. Without them, I am lost in the ocean of black and white strands we call tea.

“Dips” as we call her – she is the one who processes all orders and knows what came in and what to send out asap. She comes tidied up, goes torn-up. Without her, its just chaos.

Organic Arya Tea was the first one to arrive among others – I would like to quote it as “gorgeous tea”
