Benoy Thapa, Darjeeling Tea
Hi! This is Benoy, a tea Lover, who hails from Darjeeling. This Darjeeling Blog is some sort of a personal update site, intended to include updates dedicated to my hometown, Darjeeling and everything personal – from my wake up time to the time I fall dead on the bed .

If you came here looking for my Darjeeling Tea company i.e. Thunderbolt Tea, you can visit my tea company site at www.thunderbolttea.com . I have stopped updating anything that relates to the company here on this blog because Thunderbolt Tea now has a tea blog of its own at blog.thunderbolttea.com

Some that inspires me
Darjeeling Tea, my first love, not simply for the reason it earns me bread, I simply love the brew because its so close to my heart – Its like my hometown child who has earned fame. I love it for its unique character and flavor which is so different from one tea season to another, so different from one grade to another – the uniqueness of Darjeeling Tea I have found in none.

I simply love photography and would love to spend sometime once in a week with my camera. Though I am still an amateur photographer (in fact I am literally an illiterate in its knowledge of technicalities) and am unaware of all the pros’ definitions, but simply love the idea of capturing any moment that is worth freezing – I just point, adjust the angle and shoot (most of the time and with a compact digital – thinking of upgrading to an SLR :) ).

Music has influenced me a lot – won’t believe me, but in my early years of stout feeling and butterflies, I did a bit of vocalizing with a local band – but broke up as “The Wonders” did hehe! Now I am more into listening Blues and a bit of Jazz, but haven’t forgotten my previous fav bands like the Led Zep, Thin Lizzy etc. – I still listen to them :)

I love my bike, I have a 350 cc Royal Enfield and simply love cruising through the undulating hills of Darjeeling and Sikkim. I love food, I love movies :)

I love traveling, visiting new places, learning about cultures of the world! Traveled to a lot of places, but never did its stories find a place – Here I have started!

Hope you enjoy your stay!
