Darjeeling Silver Lining

As we wait for the First Flush Darjeeling Tea 2012 season to begin, Darjeeling slowly gets to show its change in weather. Though still chilly, the much needed sun for this year’s 2012 First Flush crop is showing its face from time to time. Darjeeling needs a mix bag of weather for the tea – rain, sun, mist, fog alternatively and its kinda perfect now, but the shoots need to warm up a bit more to flush fully.

Here is such a weather change and setting which I got during sunset. “Every cloud has its silver lining” – the perfect picture portray. Hope you like it!

Some Tea with Darjeeling Capitol Clock Tower smiling | Photo post

Today I got sometime off and went on a stroll around town with my family. It was kinda late when we got out and soon the night crawled upon and humbled us all. As the night was approaching, we were having some Darjeeling Tea and food at the famous Darjeeling restaurant (open air) “Keventers”, and the slow crawl bestowed a certain brightness of magnificence pertaining to the view it was offering. Lucky I had taken my compact, P&S, I managed to take one shot of the Capitol Clock Tower or generally known as Darjeeling Clock Tower. Hope you like the photo. The photo is a little shaky as I had no tripods and clicked it free hand. No digital slr, just plain and simple point and shoot cam.

Fort Aguada, Goa, Sunset – lovely | Photo

I had completely forgotten to post this pic – one that I like the most! Its sunset view at Fort Aguada, Goa overlooking the Arabian Sea. It was a heavenly view. At the moment reflecting back on that very moment and trying to feel the celestial bliss as I sip my cup of Darjeeling Tea back home. Enjoy the photo!!

Night shot: The Gateway of India, Mumbai | Photo

This is one photo I like. Its “The Gateway of India”, Mumbai, at a very close vicinity from the hotel where we were staying. In fact as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we got the view of the Gateway of India. I had taken this shot while walking some distance from the hotel as well as the Gateway of India in an attempt to capture the waterfront as well.

It was during the night and I had no tripod with me, so as a result, I had to stable it on one of the railings – Hope you like it!

Global Vipassana Pagoda, Essel World, Mumbai | Photo

Photo update: My kid had been very keen on visiting Essel World and Water Kingdom in Mumbai. We were unaware of a Pagoda (Global Vipassana Pagoda) being situated within the Essel World premises. Great we had a trip to it. Though this can be reached overland, but we had taken a ferry ride. The place where we boarded the ferry was pretty bad smelling mainly due to tremendous amount of trash in the water – wish the government had a clean up drive there.

It was pretty late returning back to the hotel, the ferry service was still available. I took this photo from the ferry itself while returning – It portrayed a marvelous view! Hope you like it.

The return ferry trip was filled with quite an extravaganza – the ferry had a music system installed and surprisingly were playing some techno music with a high volume – guys started dancing – it was entertaining, but the only thing scary was that the ferry was fully loaded with people and a pinch of danger arose within, but went fine!
